Muskrat dens and runs and feed bed Pics The first pic is of a muskrat run that has just been used. He saw me coming and ducked inside! The next picture will show you how the runs color is differnt from the surrounding bottom. The lighter color is the run of the muskrat. And if setting for him you would place a 110 in the midle of the run. The next picture shows you were there is a feed bed just below the feed bed lays this den entrance. This would be and excellent spot for a colony trap. In the next picture you can see the muskrats have and open ground opening to there dens as well some times a good stoplos trap or a number 1 coil will help take them here as well as the 110. Now the next picture shows where a muskrat has been doing some house cleaning from a bank den. Here is another good spot for the stoploss trap. This next picture show's the damage a group of muskrats can cause when you get alot of runs and dens in close proximity. You can see the runs and dens in this picture as well! Now here is a picture of a good size feed bed. This is and excellent spot for multiple sets. The next picture shows a text book ground den and the pic below it show a dead muskrat eaten by a mink. Notice he only left the skull and hide.

Thanks I went scouting a creek for the first time a couple months ago and I wasn't sure what the feed beds were but your pics cleared it up.
