there is two easy to use ingredents thats easy to use .a lot depends on your lure yo want to water proof.i will take a minute to help you to understand how to use both
first
petro petro needs to be heated on low heat and one must be real careful not to over heat. the key point is when it first turns to liquid your lure then must be mixed 50/50 , so the lure want use it's odor. never mix lure with petro while it's being heated up. after you have mixed the lure and petro one must bottle the lure ASAP or you will have problems putting lure in your bottle petro works very well with oils but one still has to melt petro because they will not mix if not.also works great when mixed with ldc calls and beaver lures as well as rub lures were you want the lure to stay in one place and not run down the post
second
lanolin
melted sheep fat is a natural base that can be melted unlike petro it will turn to liquid in a hot room and in colder weather turn in a lard type mixture. this is often mixed with call lures ,martin and fisher lures as well as some canine lures. if i want a paste type lure in cold weather for cats fisher, martin and canines this is the base i would use
