Blocking Beaver Down with pics
This is a set that i set in a slough with a trap shy beaver. No castor was used. There was a stump about 4 foot from the bank. I blocked it down to within 12 inches from the bank. Then i placed the coni at the opening i left at the bank. Then i added a couple more sticks on the bank side to draw the beaver to the center of the trap. Once the trap was placed i then added a floating dive stick.
Now the last picture shows the results. The beaver like to swim the edges along banks and if you have water shallow enough to block them down to the bank edge. Then set the trap this is the end result.
